How do I find training partners at Evolver?

You can find training partners on Evolver in several ways:

(i) Using the interactive map or listing: Browse the map or listing in the application to see nearby users who are looking for training partners. You can search by location and view nearby profiles to connect with people who share your sporting interests.

(ii) Refreshing the list of users: At the top left of the screen, you will find a button to refresh the list of available users. By clicking this button, you will be able to see new profiles and training opportunities.

(iii) Participating in sporting events: Join sporting events organised by other users on Evolver. These events are a great way to meet people with similar interests and find training partners for specific activities.

(iv) Exploring other users‘ stories: By browsing other users’ stories, you can find people you have not yet connected with but who share your sporting interests. This can open up new opportunities to meet training partners and participate in sports activities together.

What criteria are used to find people to play sports with on Evolver?

Firstly, Evolver prioritises showing the people with whom you have the greatest affinity based on the filters set, including age, gender, sports listed in the app and location. However, this does not limit your ability to request to play any sport that is available on the app. You can explore different options and try new sports, allowing you to broaden your sporting horizons and potentially discover new passions and hobbies.

How do I adjust my search filters in Evolver?

In the profile section of Evolver, you can change your affinity filters at any time, including location.

Can I start a chat with someone I haven’t connected with in Evolver yet?

This feature is available once the other person approves the connection. You will only be able to send an introductory message to the other person, and the one-on-one chat will be deployed once they have approved your request.

Can I have multiple locations in Evolver?

Yes! It is possible to have multiple locations on Evolver to suit your training and event participation needs. The profiles you can potentially connect to in the application will depend on the primary location you choose. To add additional locations, simply go to the home screen and look for a location pin icon in the top right. Click on that icon and you can add a new location to expand your search and connection options in Evolver. Remember to update your location if you’re on the go to make sure you find the best options near you.

Can other users see my exact location when searching for matches?

No, Evolver prioritizes user security and privacy. By default, other users cannot see your exact location. Instead, they will see a displaced, non-precise location. This measure is implemented to preserve the security and privacy of all users of the application.

How can I ensure my safety when meeting someone through Evolver?

At Evolver, we take the safety of our users very seriously. To ensure your safety when meeting someone through the application, we recommend that you follow these guidelines:

(i) Always choose public and crowded places for your meetings.

(ii) Inform a friend or family member of your location and the details of the meeting.

(iii) Consider using the app’s real-time location sharing feature so that someone you trust can follow your journey.

(iv) Trust your instincts and if something makes you feel uncomfortable, don’t hesitate to cancel the meeting.

How do I report inappropriate behaviour on the app?

(i) Go to the chat of the person you have connected with.

(ii) At the top right of the screen, you will find an icon indicating a reporting channel. Click on this icon.

(iii) Select the reason for your complaint from a list of options provided.

(iv) If you need further assistance or encounter any problems with the reporting process, please do not hesitate to contact us at soporte@evolverapp.com. We are here to help you at any time.

Who can see my stories?

Stories on Evolver can be viewed by both people you have connected with and people you have not yet connected with. This feature encourages more interaction between users and increases the likelihood of finding potential training partners. At the same time, it encourages the sharing of sports content and contributes to the creation of a healthy, wellness-focused community.

Where can I see my events?

In the profile section you can see the events you have created, those you have requested to participate in and those ‘saved’ for later.

Do I need to be accepted to participate in an Evolver event?

Yes, it is essential that the user be accepted to participate in an Evolver event. Whether you are the event administrator or a participant, user acceptance is important for several reasons:

(i) It ensures that only people with the characteristics described in the event can participate, which helps maintain the consistency and quality of the event.

(ii) It allows administrators to filter and remove suspicious or inappropriate profiles, which helps to create a safe and trusted environment for all participants.

(iii) It helps to maintain control over the number of participants and to better manage the logistics of the event.

In summary, user acceptance prior to participating in an event is a crucial step in ensuring that the experience is positive, safe and satisfying for all involved.

Can everyone see the location of an event I create in Evolver?

No, for security and privacy reasons, information about the specific location of the event will only be displayed once the event administrator has accepted the participant. This measure is in place to ensure that only confirmed participants have access to event details, which helps preserve the security and privacy of everyone involved.

Can I leave feedback on profiles I’ve come in contact with and trainings I’ve done on Evolver?

Currently, this feature is not available, but we are working on implementing it soon. In the meantime, you can share your opinions and suggestions about the application in the ‘Contact’ section, located on the top left button of the home page. We value your feedback and contributions, as they help us to constantly improve the application and provide you with the best possible experience.

Can I share events with users I am already connected to in the application?

Yes! You can share events with users you have already connected with in the app. To do so, simply go to the event in question and look for the button at the top of the event. From there, you will have the option to share the event with users with whom you have already established a connection.

Who has access to see my stories on Evolver?

Everyone with whom you have the most affinity and connection possibilities can see your stories. While you will not be able to identify who exactly sees each story, you will receive notifications about the impact of your posts on the Evolver community once you reach certain thresholds.
